Properties for sale in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo is the capital, the oldest European city in the Americas, and the one place in the country where property is bought for the same reasons as in Miami or Madrid: to live near work, to hold an apartment that rents to executives, or to own a piece of the Zona Colonial as it is restored.

The market is apartments. Piantini, Naco and Bella Vista are the business and embassy districts, with new towers offering one- to three-bedroom units, gyms and generators. Gazcue and the Zona Colonial have older buildings with character and, in the colonial zone, protected facades. Prices per square metre are the highest in the country and still below comparable Latin American capitals.
